Without a vision the essence of Church is lost and becomes social.

Our Church was founded on the instruction set by Jesus Christ before He left earth,

Go you out into all the world and make disciples.

Matt 28-19-20
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Here at Carrickfergus Community Church, we like to think that we are helping people fulfil that instruction.  Our Mission Statement is simple, Serving the Community.

Matt. 22-37-40
Jesus said to him, You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the first and great commandment..  And the second is like it - You shall love your neighbour as yourself.  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.

We set out to be a Church not afraid to get our hands dirty in work.  We wanted to be a working and worshipping Church.  With two services every Sunday, we set out to make Church for the people of the people.

In 1992 when our Church started, we started right then to minister to everyone who needed help. The fearful, lonely, hurting and the sick.  To bring comfort and relieve pain of the spirit, soul and body, through the new life in Jesus Christ.

At Carrickfergus Community Church, we teach to Love, Worship and Magnify the Lord with all your heart.  To love your neighbour as yourself in service and ministry.  We also teach to commit to the instruction and go and make disciples through evangelism and to baptize in the name of Jesus Christ..

SERVING THE COMMUNITY

We are a church that believes and practises the teaching of God’s Word, discipleship of believers and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.  We recognise the importance of serving our community and not to become a group of inward looking people.

Our Mission Statement is to:-

Serve our local community

 By being available for help, support, prayer and friendship, seven days a week.  We see the importance of not only being open for Sunday services, but to be an integral part of our community on a daily basis and supporting community events.

By recognising that the people we are in contact with during the week, are as much a part of our Church life as those who attend Sunday services.

Build a local Church

By teaching, preaching and living the Word of God, discipleship, ministry of the Holy Spirit and the recognising of the importance of training leaders.

Church Members

By serving one another, caring and supporting each other (Philippians 2).

Support our Global Community

Through prayer, finances, man power and relationship with various missionary organisations.

It is important for us to have a Christian voice in local and British Government to address ethical issues.

TO THIS AIM WE TRY HARD -

To love God and show His love in the community.

To see people saved, filled with the Holy Spirit and discipled.

To help and support the local people and be open and available for those in need.

To be a Church that is a refuge, a haven for all to come and be welcomed, accepted and loved and feel part of a family.

To promote an atmosphere of love that generates healing, comfort and a sense of caring which draws people to God.

To be a worshipping and a working Church.

To see people reach their full potential in God and use their Spiritual Gifts as well as their natural gifts.

To be real and make a difference in the community, bringing comfort and hope and relieving pain of the spirit, soul and body.

To be Holy and acceptable to God so that our every day lives and our Church would glorify God in all that we do.

IN CONCLUSION

Carrickfergus Community Church is an authentic family of believers who are devoted to establishing the Kingdom of God in our own lives and the lives of those around us.

It's a Church with a deeply committed, loving, family known for their servant heart and caring nature, where the lonely and broken hearted can find mercy, love, a belonging and new hope in Jesus Christ.

We gather as a family on Sundays and at other times throughout the week to learn from God's Word and celebrate God's goodness together.

Each week you can expect Biblical teaching, singing and prayer.  Acceptance, encouragement, hope and Holy Spirit ministry.

Teaching that equips, inspires, envisions and releases.

Discipleship, Mentoring and Leadership Training are very important to us.
