A Charity independent of the Church yet connected in
a very real way to the Church and it's beliefs.
Situated at the corner of Sunnylands Avenue
and Bridewell Drive in the Sunnylands Housing Estate in Carrickfergus the Centre opened in
September 1997. It is a place where anyone can come for a meal, to meet friends, or have a
chat in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It is a point of contact for the people of the
community where a lot of activities are also in operation.
From pensioner's lunches, O.A.P. clubs,
Dinners, Functions, Youth nights and Singles evenings, to Public Information nights, Alpha
courses, Parent and Toddlers clubs there is something to be found in the centre for
everyone in the community.
The centre is staffed by volunteers many of
whom have been on courses to enable them to be better equipped to work in the centre and
meet the needs of the community. |
